Zacate AMD outperformed Intel Core i5

Like the previous years, where at the Intel Developer Forum (IDF) are noisy uproar, AMD also has the great things that want to display to the world.

This year, Intel’s closest competitor was showing off its latest microprocessor family, the AMD Fusion Zacate. Zacate addition, AMD will introduce the Bulldozer for the class of high-end PC / server, Llano which have 32 nanometer architecture that would double as well as Ontario facing Intel Atom (netbook).

Because the target market of notebooks, do not be surprised if Zacate have a mini size. Buried within a pair of low-energy core and a unique integrated graphics processor that AMD already supports DirectX 11. Currently no information regarding the number of processor core in this, but it was definitely going to wear the die Zacate made with 40 nanometer architecture.

To demonstrate the performance of Zacate, AMD testing with Intel’s Core i5 family (notebook). City of Heroes game was played to demonstrate the performance of both.

Visible, Intel Core i5 (Arrandale) are able to process graphics in the range of 14 frames per second. Meanwhile, in the range of values Zacate 27 frames per second.

Different tests indicated AMD with Internet Explorer operates nine programs while doing the reversal pages (page flipping). The result, Arrandale only able to work in the range of 14 frames per second, while Zacate successfully recorded value of 47 frames per second.
